1. Rain, finally. Especially super-fine rain that looks like snow as it's coming down.
2. Tall boots with thick cabled knee socks and a blue dress with tiny white polka dots. I feel very prairie-girl chic today.
3. The vibrant green smell of a florist's shop.
4. Making new years resolutions for the first time in many years and actually doing a pretty good job with them so far this year (Work harder at making new friends so that nearly everyone I know locally isn't someone I work with -- check. Get into the city more -- check. Do a better job of keeping in touch with old friends -- check (thank you, Facebook))
5. The giddy glow of a newly-in-love friend.
